The Community Table’s Mission is to serve balanced, nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment and to connect those in need with existing resources. We do this by engaging diverse volunteers in service and by fostering partnerships with local organizations. TCT also enlightens the public to issues of hunger in our community; and supports efforts of community agencies to increase the self-reliance of individuals and families.
Michelle graduated from Regis High School. She holds a BA from University of Wisconsin-Madison,
an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College (Bronxville, NY), and professional certificates from New
York University and UC-Berkeley. She worked in New York and San Francisco for ten years before
moving back to her hometown community!
I'm from Mosinee, WI. I am the middle child of two brothers who are both currently
enlisted in the Air Force. I was very involved with sports in High School as a 3
sport athlete participating in Basketball, Football, and Track (basketball is my
favorite by far.) I now am currently a senior attending the University of Eau
Claire seeking a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.
I have been a bookkeeper for 15 years, and have own bookkeeping business helping
small companies do great things. I am excited to join The Community Table
team and put my passion for bookkeeping to use. If I am not out on the river
in my canoe, you will most likely find me buried deep in QuickBooks and spreadsheets,
and surrounded by numbers with a big smile on my face.
Dawn develops the menu, writes the recipes, accepts food donations
and solves interesting (and sometimes humorous) issues in our kitchen, dining room and bathrooms.
I so enjoy working with our cheerful, generous volunteer teams who arrive ready to chop, cook, and clean! I moved to Eau Claire eight years ago, and I love reading, singing, writing, hiking, and fine ice cream. You'll find me on a tennis or Pickleball court or the ski trails, singing with the Threshold Singers or at church, or spending precious time with my granddaughter.
I am so proud be a partner at The Community Table. Serving this city and the people in it gives me so much joy. Other things that bring me joy? Food, friends, adventure, and singing loudly anywhere, anytime.
